Annual event of the Implementation Working Group on "Sustainable and efficient energy use in industry" of the European SET (Strategic Energy Technology) Plan.
This event will focus on directives that mandate the implementation of management systems, with particular emphasis on the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED2), which directly affects companies operating under integrated environmental permits.
The seminar is organized by the Polish Forum of Environmental Management and will be held under the patronage of, and in cooperation with, the General Directorate for Environmental Protection.
The preliminary agenda includes:
– Key aspects of the IED2 directive and their impact on environmental management systems.
– The new EU Energy Efficiency Directive and its implications for industrial organizations and public sector entities.
– Environmental management systems as a tool to support ESG reporting – aligning standards with ESRS, including practical examples.
– Case Study – Practical implementation of environmental management system (EMS) elements based on IED2 requirements.
– EMAS – introduction, implementation steps, and practical guidance for companies subject to IED2 obligations.
–Proposal for the itransposition of the IED2 directive to the Polish legal system.

EU Industry Days is a flagship annual event in Europe, focusing on key discussions on industrial policy, connecting industry leaders and strengthening the knowledge base of European industry. EU Industry Days 2025 will take place on 5-6 June 2025 in Rzeszów, Poland, with the support of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It is one of the flagship events of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The 5th European Lightweighting Network (ELN) conference is an opportunity for all participants to be inspired by best practices in other EU countries and industries and to become part of the ELN network and open cooperation platforms. The 5th ELN conference will be held at the Krakow Institute of Technology on 4-5 June under the auspices of the Polish Presidency of the European Council.
The International Congress of Copper Mining and Metallurgy is organized by the Association of Mining Engineers and Technicians, Lubin Branch, the Employers' Association of Polish Copper and the Association of Engineers and Technicians of Non-Ferrous Metals (at the Legnica and Głogów HM).
